1:3. അവൻ ശീലോവിൽ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിപ്പാനും അവന്നു യാഗം കഴിപ്പാനും തന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്നു ആണ്ടുതോറും ശീലോവിലേക്കു പോക പതിവായിരുന്നു; ഏലിയുടെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരായി യഹോവെക്കു പുരോഹിതന്മാരായിരുന്ന ഹൊഫ്നിയും ഫീനെഹാസും അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

1:3. Year after year this man would go up from his city to worship and to sacrifice to the LORD of hosts at Shiloh. It was there that the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phineas, served as the LORD's priests.
